A bay separated by sandy headlands on both sides was assumed, and the topographic changes were predicted by the model. The wave-sheltering effect of the sand spit located offshore of the other sand spit played an important role in the mergence of the sand spits. The predicted results for the formation of sand spits were in good agreement with those given by Zenkovich (1967).}, number={34}, journal={Coastal Engineering Proceedings}, author={Watanabe, Shusuke and Uda, Takaaki and Serizawa, Masumi and Miyahara, Shiho}, year={2014}, month={Oct.}, pages={sediment.4} }
