Because of the characteristically high sea conditions at this location, wave induced ship motions were considered an important criteria to be evaluated. Phototype ship motion measurements were obtained along with wave data. The data and preliminary results are summarized. Emphasis is given to the analysis of a relationship between environmental conditions and vertical excursions, and the subsequent use of the relationship to determine a new channel depth. ER -
