Using profile volumes, pre- and post-storm, from surveys undertaken within a short temporal interval a quantitative assessment of beach response to corresponding wave conditions has been undertaken. Wide disparity in site response is found with contrasting accretionary and erosive behaviour observed un-correlated with nearshore hydrodynamics. In addition predictive runup corresponds poorly with measured effective runup. ER -
