Abstract
Whilst the Gold Coast beaches are generally in long term equilibrium, the southern Gold Coast beaches have suffered serious erosion (approximately 7K m ) since construction in 1962-1964 of the Tweed River training walls, to the south (updrift) of the Gold Coast (Fig. 1).
